Neither a bad nor an outstanding string. It provides good spin potential but lacks power. The Tyger RoughPoly was more powerful, but also provided better control.
I'd recommend this string only for recreational players looking for an affordable poly since this string does not have any significant weaknesses. |

| Neither a control string nor a power string, somewhere in between. It's not bad but feels rather dull. Much less power compared to the Alu Power. |

The string felt very thin and relatively soft during stringing.
DT 31 after stringing.
Played indoors on clay court with new Head ATP balls.
I had very good feel and depth control, as well as good power for a textured poly. It is not exactly rough though, it has a star-shaped profile.
After 10 minutes the mains started to move, similar to the Kirschbaum Super Smash. After 15 minutes the string broke. Tecnifibre Pro RedCode and Kirschbaum Super Smash don't last any longer on me in that gauge.
Recommendable only in a dense string pattern, or if your game is based on hitting flat. |

| Similar to the Polystar in terms of touch. The Polystar provides better power and durability though. Both strings are in a similar price range. |

Strung in two pieces on an electric machine. Easy to string. The cross strings were singing a bit when pulling them through.
Initial DT after stringing was 35.
Played indoors on clay with new Head ATP balls.
The string did not require a break-in period. I found good depth from the start and was able to control my forehand with plenty of spin. I'm using less spin on the backhand, but didn't have any depth issues on that side either initially.
Volleys and slices felt very soft, and I lacked some control there, so I thought I should have strung 2-4 lbs higher.
Serve went well and I was able to create kick easily.
Then I played a match and had good depth and control in the beginning. I could hardly believe that I was hitting with a 1.30 mm poly, it created more power than my standard string Yonex Poly Tour 125. After 1.5 hours of play I started experiencing problems since the string became more and more spongy.
DT was at 31 after 1.5 hours of play.
I continued using the string for coaching until it snapped after 2 more hours in the center of the stringbed.
Conclusion: I was happy with this string overall and would like to try it in 1.25 mm which should improve control but might decrease durability. If you are looking for a powerful textured poly, this one is for you. I'd recommend it especially for 14-16 year old players and for those who do not have a fast swing. The string really shines when you hit with lots of spin on the forehand.
For me the Yonex Poly Tour is still better for my game. I suspect that this blindtest string was the Head Sonic Edge, it had similar touch. |

| Compared the the Blindtest String18, the Focus-Hex feels more crisp. The Blindtest String18 provides better power and spin, but less precision. |

Played indoors on carpet with Babolat Team balls.
Initially I had problems generating depth because the string is rather low-powered. After 15 minutes, however, I had adapted to the string and enjoyed the great control. I had excellent spin on my forehand topspin, it seemed like the ball stayed a tad longer in the stringbed. Serves, especially kick serves, as well as slice worked perfectly.
Overall a great string, which just lacks some power compared to the Yonex Poly Tour or Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power. Nevertheless a good value.
One comment about durability: In my first test the string lasted only 2 hours, which is relatively good for a 1.25 textured string considering my playing style and racquet. I strung it again but this time in combination with Pro's Pro Cyber Power crosses, which increased durability and also power. |

Played at 25°C with Wilson Tour Clay balls. The string played great with nice feel on every hit. Maybe I should have strung 2 lbs softer to increase power and spin. You don't need to string high in order to have control with this string.
I will test the Spin version of this string and probably never use Alu Power again. |

| The only thing I was missing with this string was the typical sound of the Alu Power. This is one of the best strings on the market. Only the neon yellow color needs a bit getting used to. |

Played at 25°C with Wilson Tour Clay balls.
Initially I had big problems generating my normal spin on forehand and backhand, despite the string's texture. Same issue on the kick serve. I always had the impression that I lacked 15-20 km/h on my strokes compared to the Alu Power. The only thing where I felt good control was on the volleys.
Unfortunately the string did not suit my game. Perhaps you need arms like Nadal in order to generate power with this string. But it's definitely not a string for the normal clay court player. |

| In contrast to the Alu Power I lacked power with the RPM Blast. Feel was dull and depth control is not easy. On extreme topspin strokes I had the impression that the trajectory was not as high as with other polyester strings. This is not an easy string to hit with, only recommendable for hard hitters. |

| Great string, and good price compared to the Alu Power. Still I would rather recommend it for dense string patterns, otherwise it will break quickly. Or you try the 1.30 mm gauge, which will however affect the spin potential and control. Nevertheless great string. It's not as soft as a Signum Pro or Topspin Cyber Flash. |

| Not as good as the Alu Power, especially in terms of spin potential and durability. I don't expect this string to last more than 5 hours, but a maximum of 2 hours is quite poor from my point of view. |
