I've played this string for several hours indoors on carpet and it's great. Very elastic for a poly, plays really nice. Good depth control despite its high elasticity.
Highly recommendable, my new favorite string. |

| The Focus is comparable to the Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.18, but more elastic without feeling too soft. It provides a more comfortable feel. |

Strung in two piece. The string hardly stretched, but was easy to string and to tie off. Unfortunately I don't have a device for measuring the tension stability.
1st test
Due to the bad weather a week passed after stringing before I could playtest the string. The first test was indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls (1.5 hours). The string provided a lively feel and lots of power at very good control and precision. I was really happy with the string. Since I've never had arm problems I can't rate the comfort. Spin potential is good and the strings didn't move. I had a nice feel and good control on my backhand slice. The advantage of the string was its elasticity while maintaining the necessary amount of control.
2nd test
Two days later I played another hour indoors on carpet with Dunlop Tournament balls. The string seemed to have lost a bit of tension. It played softer and with less control than before. I had the Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.23 on my second frame for comparison and it maintained its tension significantly better. There was still no string movement in the test string.
3rd test
As the weather got better, I tested the string for 1 hour on clay court. The court was humid and the balls got a bit heavy (Wilson Tour Club). The string lost some more tension and felt a bit spongy, so I didn't have enough control on my shots any more. Spin potential remained good and still no string movement.
The string didn't break but I will cut it out now.
Great string during the first two hours, with a lively feel. Unfortunately the playability decreased with time. Recommendable for players who don't use their strings for a longer time anyway. For players who demand a longer playability (like myself) this string is not suitable. |
