The string provides great power, even if you don't swing very hard. Control is present in all situations on flat strokes as well as on topspin strokes. This 3rd generation co-poly plays very comfortable. Feedback is clear and direct. Spin is very good, especially on angle shots. Kick serves, slice serves and power serves were perfect.
Conclusion: The MSV Hepta-Twist 1.25 is a soft, comfortable, powerful string that has the license for optimum control. It plays perfect in all situations and is a pleasure to hit with. It has characteristics of a multifilament. |

No problems during stringing (according to my stringer Mike).
Played during summer outdoors on clay at 27/25 kg with Dunlop Tour balls, and for 10 hours indoors on carpet at 25/23 kg.
Durability is not an issue for me, but from others who string it at 30 kg I know that it does last quite well (18 hours).
The string provided good power without overpowering, however I lacked control especially on angle shots due to the soft feel. I had to hit with extreme topspin. Feel was rather dampened, no comparison to Tecnifibre multifilaments. Comfort was really good for a co-poly, nice on off-center hits, and good absorption of vibrations on hard serves. That was really pleasant indoors.
Spin was not really great. I had expected more bite from the string's profile. During summer the only way to increase control was to raise the tension, which lead to a decrease in power on the other hand.
The string softened up after 2 hours of play and provided increased power.
Conclusion: I expect the desired spin from a profiled string and not just a fashionable black string. When looking for comfort, I prefer a hybrid of synthetic gut with MSV Focus-Hex / Signum Pro Tornado / Kirschbaum Spiky Shark. For me control is the priority, and the Black Code was only average. |

| Due to the soft feedback, the Black Code was not clear, while the Hex directly tells you what is going on and enables you to correct your stroke. |

I had my Pure Drives strung with Focus Hex 1.23 and Co-Focus 1.23, both at 24 kp. After the first hitting I was scared away from the Hex because there was no comfort at all.
The Co-Focus 1.23 on the other hand played much more elastic and comfortable. I preferrably used the racquet strung with the Co-Focus and decided to stick to this string. But after 16 hours of play, the Co-Focus had lost its comfort and after losing the first set in a singles match during a tournament, I switched to the Focus Hex 1.23 frame and ignored the lack of comfort and won the match.
The Hex provided great control and spin and a nice direct feel. In order to enhance the comfort, I'm now using a dampener, and I lowered the tension to 22 kp. This gives me the power I need without losing control. Great string in the end! |

The stringer said that stringing was easy.
The string provides good elasticity, comfort and control as well as power.
The playing characteristics were constant up to the 16th hour of play. Then the comfort decreased a bit and the string felt stiffer. But it still played nice. Recommendable for players with medium swing seeking for power.
Great price/performance ratio and the string keeps its good characteristics for a long time.
Great selection of different colors. |

The stringer said it was easy to string.
The string provided good elasticity, comfort, control, and sufficient power.
These characteristics were constant for a long time. The string never gets springy or loses control. It plays softer than the Co-Focus 1.23.
Great allround string for players seeking for comfort and control in a durable string with great tension maintenance.
Also suitable for ladies or players with sensitive arms.
Conclusion: Touch me! Nice soft co-poly that leaves nothing to desire in the comfort and durability departments. |

I've intensively tested the Alu Power 1.25 from May until mid July 2006 on clay court in matches and practice sessions during very high temperatures. My impressions from the winter season were not only confirmed but the string performed even better: precise, powerful strokes with extra touch and great spin.
But as soon as the temperatures drop, the string becomes board-like and you need to string softer (23 kp). This string is only great when the temperatures are constant. I bought a reel, which is expensive, but the great quality and consistency outperforms everything during summer.

| The Alu Power is the perfect combination of power, durability, and control. Comfort depends on the temperature. During the winter season, the string is tremendously stiff at cold temperatures, but at temperatures above 16°C (61°F) it's no problem. Great spin. However the string demands an advanced technique since it reveals every off-center hit and forces you to concentrate on your technique. I made some advancements to my game due to this. The Alu Power is the best string I've tried during the past few years. |

| I used the Isospeed Control in a Wilson Hyper Hammer 5.2. In a head-light racquet the power of the string would have turned into a catapult effect. Rather recommendable for ladies due to the excellent comfort. Hard hitting players should increase the tension to 28 kp, but that decreases the durability (10 hours). Since the string provides gut-like playability, I consider it a great value. Recommended for 30+ ladies and 40+ gentlemen. |

| For me the Babolat Pro Hurricane 1.30 is the ideal string for the summer season because it gives me a warranty through its durability so I don't have to worry if it will break after 1 week. I increase the comfort by using a long vibration dampener. The control is really great and it also has decent power without developing a trampoline effect. If you get a reel it's a good value. |

| Since the spin also depends on the string pattern, I get better control and power with the Babolat in my Head Fire than with the Prince Synthetic Gut. The Babolat is comfortable through its tension stability and durability when strung up to 27 kp. If you string tighter the comfort decreases. |
