male tournament player national level allround game |
Wilson BLX Pro Staff Six-One 95 (MP, 16/19) |
Regional level player, last year of juniors, currently 18 years old. Starting to play mens British tours as of this year.
I practice 22 hours a week, in singles i am an offensive base line player but occasionally approach the net.
In doubles i serve and volley almost every point without exception. With this in mind i get a good feel of strings in both singles and doubles play, performing all kind of shots. E.g. ground strokes, serve, volleys, half volleys etc... |

| Played on hard courts in 25°C plus heat every time. Used to play full competitive matches. New balls every couple of hours. Was lovely to play with, strings did move slightly though. |

| Such a unique string, possibly one of the best strings I have ever used! Will become my new standard string! A very comfortable string on the arm, lovely feel on volleys. Brilliant power and spin off groundstrokes and serves as well. Only problem for me was the lack of durability, lasted me about 20 hours. Not as good as MSV or RPM Blast in durability. |

| Played on hard acrylic court in dry, medium temperature environment. Played with new balls every time I hit with it. Lovely amounts of spin off shots, not quite as much as other strings though. Very comfortable to play with, but a real lack of feel on shots requiring delicacy. But not a lot of power in the strings, might be ok if your especially good at creating your own. |

| I would still rather play with the MSV instead of the Ytex, but the Ytex was good in some categories such as durability and comfort. It lasted quite well for such a textured polyester and it was extremely comfortable for the arm. I would still prefer the MSV though. |

| Played on clay in Spain for 3 weeks, broke one set and was on the second but I was hitting about 4-5 hours a day. The balls were kicking up so much with this string! Would recommend to anyone trying to add a little bit more spin to their game and especially nice for a slice or topsin second serve. |

| I preferred this compared to the Luxilon Big Banger. Solinco Tour Bite gives you so much bite on the ball! Not quite as powerful as the Big Banger but nicer on the arm, lovely for volleys and doubles play. Thoroughly enjoyed playing with it. |

| Tyger Rebound is a great string for its price, but I would say RPM Blast is a better string overall, it just costs a lot more. |

| Overall a nice string, but I would recommend using it as mains in a hybrid with a natural gut or a synthetic gut as crosses. If used all through the racket could lead to arm problems. When freshly strung, the ball was nice to hit, felt good on the racket and my kick serves had a bit extra on them than normal. But if you're not a frequent string breaker this string will soon start to lose its tension and become harder on the arm to hit through the ball. |

When first strung feels really good, especially at higher tensions in a racket with a headsize above 95 square inches. Great pop on the forehand, and great for getting that bit of extra power on a flat serve.
The only possible problem is that it is so durable that you might have to cut it out! |
