The Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex was recommended to me as having similar characteristics as the Head Rip Control.
I've tested the Prince on clay for one hour now and was not happy at all. Although I prefer a tight string bed, the string felt like a board at 27 kg. I did not have power nor depth in my shots. Overall feel was very poor.
I'll have to try the Rip Control too in order to obtain a direct comparison. |

| Solid string, I like the blue color too, it used to match my Babolat Drive Z-Lite. It's a pretty good string although the 18G is the best in my opinion, this does last a good bit longer though but overall not a string to use by itself if you hit with a good amount of topspin or slice the ball frequently. The string does fray before it breaks and it moves around a lot after hitting a few balls despite the tension you set it up with. |

Played indoors on clay court with Dunlop Roland Garros balls. No problems stringing in two pieces.
Wilson Kobra Tour is not my standard racquet, so my review might be influenced by this change. Overall the highlights are power, control, spin and good tension maintenance after 2 hours.
The string is suitable only for light top spin players because the string movement is very bad. Unfortunately the performance does not justify the high price. |
