Since the last string test of December 2008, the new brand SuperString has significantly extended its line of tennis string. 110 Stringforum.net testers will again have the opportunity to test 10 different new strings for free. If you are able to provide an in-depth review within 6 weeks after receipt, please apply as a tester for this playtest until May 28 and select your test string of choice plus an alternative. |

The sixth international unmarked string test has ended. 30 testers have played the test string without knowing its identity. Now is the time to reveal the identity. MSV Focus Hex and Babolat VS Team are the Strings of the Year 2008! While the dominance of the VS Team was enormous in the Non-Poly department (best non-poly, non-gut string was the Tecnifibre X-One Biphase, most durable non-poly was the Prince Pro Blend DF 16), the field was tighter in the Poly department. Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power Rough 16L won the Power and Spin categories, Luxilon Big Banger Alu Power 16L won the Durability and Tension Stability categories. Other winners in the poly department were Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.18 (Feel), Topspin Cyber Blue 1.25 (Comfort), and MSV Focus Hex 1.18 (Control). Pro Supex Big Ace Micro was voted Newcomer of the Year. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who participated in this survey!
